Nossa Familia Coffee: An Exceptional Farm-Direct Coffee Experience – 2022

Nossa Familia Coffee

What would you say if I told you that you could get coffee from Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Mexico or Honduras without leaving home? That’s right, Nossa Familia Coffee is bringing premium coffee directly to your doorstep. How cool is that?!

Nossa Familia was founded in 2015 by two brothers who wanted to bring their passion for coffee back to their hometown of Manaus, Brazil. They started out selling coffee at local farmer’s markets and eventually decided to take the next step and open their own coffee shop.

Their goal was to create a place where they could share their love of coffee and the culture of Latin America. They wanted to give their customers a taste of the region through the food and drinks they serve. And now, thanks to our partnership with them, you too can enjoy the same great coffee experience.

Nossa Familia Coffee An Exceptional FarmDirect Coffee Experience

Nossa Familia Coffee is a company founded by Augusto Carnerio in 2004. He started his journey with coffee at age 12 when he first tasted espresso. He began working with coffee beans in high school and continued through college. After graduating from the University of Washington, he moved back to Brazil to help start a coffee farm. While there, he learned everything he could about coffee growing and processing. When he returned to Seattle, he started Nossa Familia to share what he had learned with other farmers around the world. Since then, Nossa Familia has grown to become one of the best coffee companies in the country. Their passion for sustainability, family, and heritage has merged to create one of our favorite coffee experiences and brands in Nossa Familia.

Our family-owned coffee company was founded in 2005. We are a small family-run farm focused on quality and sustainability. Our farmers are direct relationships with our growers, and we have a direct relationship with our roasters. We strive to provide fair trade products, and we are committed to sustainable farming practices. We offer wholesale, direct, and retail options for all of our coffees. We also sell directly through our website, and we ship nationally.

Farms

Sul De Minas is located in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The average altitude is 940 meters above sea level. The climate here is mild with an average temperature of 21°C. Coffee production in this area accounts for approximately 30% of Brazil‘s total coffee production. The main varieties grown here are Catuai, Mundo Novo and Obata. These varieties have different characteristics and flavors. The best known is Catuai, which has a distinctive citrus aroma and taste. It also has a sweet, chocolatey flavor. The other two varieties are Obata and Mundo Novo. Both have a similar taste and aroma.

There are several Nossa farms located in the region. All of them are managed by family members. Some of them are also owned by other farmers. These farms are called Nossa because there is a farmhouse in each area. Each farm has its own name. The first farm is Fazenda Cachueira da Grama, which is supervised by Gabriel Carvalhão Dias. The second farm is Fazenda Recreio, which is supervised by Diogo Días Macedo. The third farm is Fazenda Santa Aline, which is supervised by Lucia “Tuca” Dias. The fourth farm is Cerrado de Minhas, which has the Cerrado Mineiró status. Its main coffee varieties are Mundo Novo (the most common) and Catuai.

Brazilian Decaf

Coffee is an aromatic beverage made from roasted coffee beans. Coffee contains caffeine, which gives you energy and improves your mood. However, drinking too much coffee may cause headaches, insomnia, anxiety, and other health problems. To reduce the amount of caffeine in coffee, we use the Swiss water method. This process removes about 95% of the caffeine from the coffee bean. We then combine two different types of beans to create our decaffeinated coffee. The first type is called “Peaberry” because it comes from naturally mutated coffee plants. These plants produce a higher yield of beans per plant, making them ideal for decaffeination. The second type is called “Robusta” because it grows well in hot climates. Robusta beans are also easier to grow than Peaberry beans. The combination of both types creates a smooth and balanced cup of coffee.

Taste Notes: With hints of chocolate, floral tones, and a lingering sweetness. Processing method: Naturally processed; Swiss water method (for decaffeination) brewing method: French press, AeroPress, cold brew. Brazilian Coffee is an excellent example of a natural product. It is grown naturally, picked at its peak maturity, and processed using minimal technology. It is then dried slowly under controlled conditions, and stored in climate-controlled warehouses. The beans are roasted and ground just before brewing. It is important to note that the beans are never exposed to heat above 212 degrees Fahrenheit. This allows them to retain all of their natural oils and nutrients, while also preserving their delicate flavor profile.

Coffees. We source coffees from around the globe. Coffee beans come from many different regions and countries, each with its own unique flavor profile. Each region produces a specific type of bean, depending on the climate and soil conditions. These differences result in distinct flavors and aromas. For example, Arabica beans grown in Ethiopia have a strong citrus aroma. Robusta beans grown in Vietnam have a sweet, nutty taste. Some beans are washed before roasting, while others are not.
