Coffee is an essential part of many people’s daily routines. Whether you’re at work, at school, or just hanging out with friends, coffee is always available. There are many different types of coffee, each with its own flavor profile and caffeine level. Some coffees are made from beans grown in specific regions, while others are blended together to create a consistent taste. A number of factors influence what type of coffee will appeal to you, including your preferences, the time of year, and the weather. Coffee is also often paired with other beverages, such as milk, cream, sugar, and sweeteners.

The Company
Amora Coffee Company started out as an idea in 2011. Founder and CEO Brian Kinsman wanted to bring back the tradition of buying coffee at local shops. He knew that there were many people who didn’t like the taste of coffee sold in supermarkets. So he decided to start his own coffee shop that would sell only the highest quality beans. His goal was to create a place where people could come together to enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about life. Today, Amora Coffee Company is a subscription service that delivers freshly roasted coffee to customers’ doors every week.
Their signature nine-step roaster ensures that each bean is roasted just right. They roast using temperatures ranging from 464 to 527 degrees Fahrenheit for up to 30 minutes. After the beans cool down, they’re packed in foil-lined bags while still warm. That preserves freshness and flavor.
The Ordering Process
Amorá is an online coffee subscription service that offers four different blends of espresso-based drinks, each with four flavors. There are also cold brew options. The company does not offer curated selections, nor does it provide customer feedback. Instead, users rate their experience on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Users can also share their experiences with others via social media.
Amora Coffee Roasters ships via USPS First Class International Flat Rate Boxes. Shipping costs vary depending on weight and destination. All orders ship within 24 hours of purchase. Orders placed before 2 pm EST will usually arrive the next business day. If an item is out of stock, we’ll notify you immediately. We’re sorry, but due to high demand, we cannot always guarantee delivery times.
You will receive an initial shipment of 4 half-pound bags of specialty coffee after signing up. You can choose to change your delivery frequency, and coffee varieties, and cancel your subscription at any time through your online account. Overall, this subscription costs about $60 per month, making it relatively expensive compared to other services. However, the coffee doesn’t come from certified farms and isn’t guaranteed to be of single origin.
The Coffee
We tried out all three varieties of beans and found them to be very easy to use. Each bag contains enough ground coffee for about 12 cups of coffee. We liked the fact that the beans came ready to go in individual packets, making it easier to measure out just what you need. The grind size is ideal for drip coffee makers, and the packaging is sturdy and recyclable. The beans are also available in bulk sizes, including 1-pound bags.
Our package included a free metal coffee scoop! It has a nice weight and feel, and it looks like it will last forever.
The Packaging
Amorata’s subscription comes in a brightly colored box. The coffee bags have one-way degassing valves, and they’re well designed. However, they don’t resell, so you’ll need to buy your own containers. We found very little information about where Amorata’s coffee is grown. Like other coffee subscriptions, Amorata’s packages don’t include any tasting notes or descriptions of the sourcing and selection processes. You can find limited info on the website, though.
Extras
You will get a free bag of coffee when you sign up for Amora Coffee. You can choose from four different flavors: French Vanilla, Cinnamon Roll, Hazelnut Mocha, and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. If you subscribe to Amora Coffee, you will receive other free items like a coffee scoop, storage canisters, travel mugs, a coffee maker, and even a tea kettle. You can also opt for a tea subscription if you prefer tea instead of coffee. Amora Tea features biodegradable tea packets and a selection of six different types of tea.
Amora Coffee Subscription The Verdict
Amora Coffee is a subscription service that delivers freshly roasted coffee beans directly to your door. Each month, you’ll receive a selection of 8 different coffees, including espresso, drip, French press, and cold brew. You can choose from light, medium, dark, and extra dark roasts, and select from single origin, blended, and flavored options. If you prefer to grind your own beans at home, you can also opt for a bag of pre-ground beans. And if you’re not a fan of coffee, we also deliver tea, hot cocoa, and other beverages.
Amora offers a curated experience. Each week, subscribers receive a box containing three different coffees, each made from a specific bean. The company also provides detailed information about the origins of its coffees, including tasting notes. However, the service isn’t cheap — $20 per month plus shipping costs. And if you’re not a fan of coffee, you’ll need to pay extra for the option to skip your shipment. Still, if you like the idea of getting a weekly box of carefully selected coffee delivered right to your door, Amora might be worth checking out.
